Jeremy Fox : Walk Organiser

29-year-old Jeremy lives in Gosport, and works across the Fareham/Gosport area as a Community Carer. After the success of last years experimental “South Downs Challenge”, he is learning the lessons from that experience and determined to make next years event, bigger, better and more beneficial.  Jeremy is responsible for the overall running and direction of the event and has the final say in all decisions. He will also walk the North Downs Challenge.

Katie Hyett: Team Secretary

Havant-based Katie, is Jeremy’s second-in-command. She has a wealth of organisational experience with Leigh Park Community Centre where she currently works. She is primarily responsible for arranging the accommodation for the walk, running the group’s website (www.destinationdover.btik.com) and would assume overall control of the event in the absence of Jeremy.

Ian Buzzard: Walker

Ian joined this years event as a guest walker on the second stage and enjoyed it so much, he continued to the finish!!! Gosport-based Ian is committed to next years event.

Roger Labrum: Walker

Roger is a keen walker with many years experience. He has covered just about all the recognised footpaths and trails in the Hampshire and West Sussex areas. Roger lives in Horndean and was a walker in the South Downs Challenge this year. His keen sense of humour and hilarious story-telling kept us all amused throughout this year’s event

Colin Rogers: Walker

Colin is another experienced walker who lives in Gosport. He also likes to play Tennis and was another who completed this years event.

John Wiltshire: Minibus Driver

John has signed up to the event to drive the minibus for the week we are away, and, to that end, has gained his MIDAS qualification. John is a keen walker and lives in Gosport, but has decided to play a supporting role for the event which we appreciate!  He also knows the Proctor family personally which has drawn him into being involved.
